Story
The story of Dirge of Cerberus is set three years after the events of Advent Children. This time instead of Cloud Strife, the players will be looking at Vincent Valentine, one of the optional characters from the original game, as the lead character of the story. During a festival in the Kalm town, known as the Revival Festival, a group of soldiers which are referred to as Deep Ground Soldiers (DGS for short.) are looking for Vincent who seems to be living around the area. The DGS attack the event, and of course, Vincent goes out to stop them.
It seems that there is a specific reason that the DGS are after Vincent. Many years ago the ShinRa company started constructing these soldiers, however, whenever meteor came down on earth, they were stuck underground for quite some time. The reason for their construction is to lure out OMEGA weapon, and to do this, they needed Vincent to lead the way...
